|Michael from Boston, MA reviewed blu cigs model 'Blu Premium Starter' on March 07 2012:|
OverallI have been vaping for quite some time now. I started with a disposable Blu to try, then moved to a rechargeable 510 setup, and quickly again moved to an eGo Tank system. The eGo Tank is an excellent choice for avid vapers and people who need much more battery life and juice on the go. The battery will last for days and the tank will as well (at least for me). However, I missed the old Blu taste/vapor production. This is mostly due to their Johnson Creek 100% VG blend. I found the nicotine content to be satisfying (full flavor). The pack is nicely designed, charges batteries without threading them in; just pop in the battery and close the lid. The indicators on the sides are nice, they show battery status of both the ecig battery and the pack battery. The social feature would be nice if there were more places selling the stuff, but I can't attest to it's reliability having not used it around cities much. You could almost say that this is the Apple of the ecig world. Not the greatest value by far, but very nice in design and simplicity. I would recommend Blu disposables for anyone thinking about getting into eCigs, and possibly the starter kit if they have some extra cash and just want the simplest ecig setup possible. The ecig itself, however, has some design flaws. Being an automatic battery, it can be easily set off in the wind and dry burn vapor, wasting both the battery and more importantly the cartridge itself.
Value vs. Cost
-Possibly the simplest ecig design with the charging pack
-Very sleek, with nice blue lights
-No-thread charging pack
-Very simple design: Buy the starter kit and then all you'll need to do is buy new carts as you use them
-Expensive for what you get (shop around for other kits, check out Joye 510's)
-Holds much less than an eGo for example
-Wind activates the battery
-less battery life than a lot of others
All in all, I would definitely recommend the disposables as a starter and possibly this starter kit eventually.
